It is a red, dry wine from the native varieties Mandilaria, Mavrotragano and Mavrathiro.
CLIMATE: Dry with limited rainfall during winter and spring.Moderate temperatures during winter. Warm to moderate temperatures during summer, usually without periods of extreme heat due to cooling northern winds. Strong winds throughout the year.
SOIL: Volcanic, ash and pumice stones.
CULTIVATION: From privately owned vineyards. Anhydrous, traditional cultivation (kouloura), at an altitude of 50 meters. Average age of vines 50-70 years.
GRAPE YIELD: 4000 kilos per hectare
VINIFICATION: No mechanical pressure. We do the maceration of the stems with the must for few days in order to avoid aggressive tannins.
HARVEST: mid-August.
