Brintziki Winery

Ktima Brintziki is located in the western Peloponnese, in the village of Lanzhoi in the region of Ancient Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games and one of the most sacred places in ancient Greece. The Brinziki family started the establishment of the winery in 1994. The vision is to create unique wines in which the special characteristics of the area, famous for its viticulture, are clearly visible. Its clayey soils, combined with the humidity of the rivers, create an ideal microclimate. The indigenous varieties that thrive are Roditis, Tinaktorogos, Malagouzia, Fileri, Assyrtiko (white varieties) and Augustiatis, Agiorgitiko and Merlot (red varieties). In 2012, the Brinziki Estate became the first green winery in Greece. The use of geothermal energy, as well as the use of photovoltaic systems, contributed to this characterization.Geothermal energy covers the cooling and heating needs of tanks and premises, while the photovoltaic unit ensures the electricity needs of the winery. In this way, the Brintziki Estate determines its ecological and environmentally friendly operation, producing organic wines that tend to have zero energy footprint.
