Kalogris Family has been cultivating their vineyards with organic and natural methods since 1980. The entιre work in the vineyards is done by hand, from pruning till harvesting, so as to not "disturb" the plants. The production is small and exquisite with much personal family work, longing and lots of love.
Kalogri Winery is located in the village of Kapsia, Mantineia, at the foot of the spruce-covered Mainalo and just an hour and a half from Athens, on the way to Vytina. It is the 1st CERTIFIED SCIENTIFIC WINERY in the Peloponnese and the only one so far in Mantineia, by EOT. All places are open to the public. In the restored 1870 building, visitors are guided through the family's 147-year history, learning about modern farming and natural wines.
