Winemaking: To produce our Retsina we use state of the art technology and only high quality first materials. The base are our organic grapes from the indigenous variety Roditis. We ferment them in stainless steel tanks, together with the pine resin that we collect from our own pine trees. The result is a high quality modern style Retsina.

Tasting notes: Lemon coloured with green-golden highlights, a herbal nose with the characteristic aromas of the pine resin such as rosemary well balanced with notes of citrus fruits. Rich and full body wine with a refreshing acidity.
Food Pairing: Roasted lamb marinated with rosemary, grilled seabass and sea bream.
Label: The cones of the pine tree, which symbolically represent the union of the grape with the pine resin.
The Giannikos Winery is a family owned organic winery based in Corinth on the Peloponnese in Greece. We own 8 ha of vines on two sites, one in Corinth around our winery and the other in Mycenae, near the famous archaeological site and birthplace of Greek viticulture almost 4,000 years ago.
We believe that a good wine has its roots in the vineyard from healthy and natural vines. That’s whywe cultivated and produce strictly organic. Today we are considered as one of the leading organic wineries in Greece and we export 80% of our production all over the world.
All our wines are single varietal because we are convinced that this way, we can show our passion for quality and giveeach grape variety the attention that it deserves. We have been awarded several times atinternational wine competitions such as AWC Vienna and Millesime Bio.
