Sauvignon Blanc Fumé 2019 - Domaine Florian

Producer: Domaine Florian
Variety: Sauvignon Blanc
Region: Μακεδονία

Winemaking

Single Vineyard located on the Epanomi Peninsula, 500 meters
from the coastline. The fermentation is completed in
temperature controlled stainless-steel tanks. Thereafter the
wine is matured for four months in 300 ltr. oak casks on the lees.

Eye-Nose-Palate

In the glass, pale lemon with golden twist.

On the nose, after a short breath, one can find smell of cut grass, biscuit,

vanilla and honey, caramel and hints of pineapple forming a complex and interesting
bouquet.

Beautiful body and well-balanced acidity, with banana and pineapple, biscuit

honeysuckle and grapefruit and a sence of "eartyness" on the mouth. Barrel ageing creates a pleasant buttery feel on
the palate with a long spicy and smoky aftertaste.

Food Pairing

Dishes with Truffles, Crabs, Lobster, Oyester, Goat Cheece or Feta.

Domaine Florian

Our privately owned vineyards are located in two charismatic winemaking regions of northern Greece, Trilofos Epanomi, southeast of Thessaloniki and Trilofos in Naoussa.
We chose the unique Epanomi microclimate for the cultivation of our white varieties. The estate is on elevated, sloping, sandy terrain overlooking the sea and Mount Olympus. The climate of the region is mild and favored by the beneficial winds of the North Aegean.
From the very first moment when our family chose to deal with vines and wine, sustainable farming and environmental sensitivity, with the aim of producing fine raw materials for our wines, became our top priorities. We focus on low yields and we harvest always manually.
