Winemaking
Harvested in the second half of August just a couple days after our
White wine harvest. A higher canopy of the vines ensured an
equilibrium between the fermentable fructose and glucose and
the acidity, resulting in a well-balanced Wine. The grapes from
the three varieties are destemmed and crushed simultaneously.
Thereafter the must remains' 10 hours with the berries, to ensure
an Anthocyanins extraction which develops the must into a nice
rose-colored wine. Following the fermentation, the wine is racked
and remains on its fines lees for 6 months until is bottled
Eye-Nose-Palate
The wine has a rich cherry rose color.
Combining the lightness and freshness of a Rose with a rich variety of berry aromas
the nose is very aromatic with notes of blueberry, strawberry and blackberry. Hints of
green apple and lime sneak in after a few minutes in the glass accompanied by subtle
hints of sour cherry and black currant.
On the palate a strong combination of blueberry and strawberry can be distinguished,
with notes of black currant, green apple and slight hints of gooseberry.
